Good morning Reception The maths activity that I have planned for you today is quite a challenge and will take you longer than the other lessons have done so the writing activity will be shorter today. Re-read ‘Superheroes – All Sorts’ and try to join in this time. Pick a superhero page to talk about with your mummy or daddy - (computer, beach, park etc. Why is help needed? How might that superhero help? What power would they use? Talk about these answers first before writing them in the green book. Maths – There are 2 sheets in your pack called ‘Superheroes Number Match’. One has a Superdog on it and one has numbers 1 – 20 in red splashes. These splashes are the ones that I want you to cut

Square group I would like you to create a newspaper article, it can be about a real current event e.g. coronavirus or an imaginary even like a spaceship landing in your back yar

Good morning Reception Class I hope that you all enjoyed the gorgeous, hot weather yesterday. It was a bit too hot for me but because I was in school, I was inside for most of the day so stayed nice and cool. I sat in my back garden when I got home and it was still boiling hot! Let’s make a start on today’s learning. You need to watch a Speed Sound Lesson on YouTube and then do some reading. Is your reading getting better? If you want to challenge yourself, have a try at reading a book from Oxford Level – Level 2 on Oxford Owl. Look at ‘Eliot: Midnight Superhero’ again on YouTube. If you were the author of this story, can you think of something else Eliot could do? Then I want you to write a

Maths - Find the maths sheet entitled problem solving (it has a picture of a lorry on the front). Follow the instructions on the top of the sheet and work your way through the problems. Make sure you read the questions properly. Now turn over the page and have a go at spending as close to a million pounds as you can. Work out what you could afford to buy and how much you would have left. Fin
