Learn Together, Shine Together.

CLASS 2L Miss Lek/Mrs Hutcheon

Welcome to class 2L

Year 2L Class Teacher: Miss Lek and Miss Hutcheon

Most of the learning in year 2 is linked to a topic, so that the work is cross curricular and more meaningful for the children. The different topics can be seen on the curriculum overview.

Reading

Reading books are changed every Monday., so please make sure the books are in school on that day. Books will be changed once a week so there is plenty of time for you to read the book at home a few times. There will be an opportunity to choose a library book every Friday. All other reading will be taught through guided reading.

P.E

PE will be on Monday and Thursdays so PE kits need to come into school and stay there until half term when they can be taken home and washed. Year 2 children’s feet grow quickly so please take this opportunity to check that the PE pumps still fit.

Homework

Homework each week will include spellings, reading and a maths sheet. This will be sent home on Thursdays and needs to be completed and returned to school on Thursday the following week.

All children are provided with milk and fruit every day but we would also encourage them all to have a water bottle so that they can keep hydrated throughout the day.
