Hello all of Y6A,

Well, it’s Friday.

Here is today’s guidance for your schoolwork.

Day 5 of the Maths ‘ten in ten booklet’ is the expectation today. If you have missed any of the previous days, you are going to have to spend a little extra time catching up. It’s always better doing a little bit everyday than leaving it to build up.

As for your comprehension task today, have a look at the Running booklet. Only read and answer the questions about running today. Remember twenty minutes should be enough time.

If you’ve not looked on purple mash yet there is a question up for discussion:

‘Should doctors and nurses be paid as much as footballers?’

Take some time to consider this and then write down what you think about it. Remember to give reasons why you believe what you believe. You can write this in the exercise book provided or answer via purple mash. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

There are also a number of other tasks on purple mash – one is a self-portrait. Why not practice reviewing what you have created and edit it rather than sending in the first attempt. Not every artist is happy with their first attempt.

Oh, and don’t forget to find somewhere quiet to read your book for at least twenty minutes.

And… that’s the first week done.

Why not take the weekend off from work and we’ll carry on with ‘the working at home tasks’ from next week.

Stay healthy.

Mr A
