Today I would like you to choose another reading comprehension from your pack. Read through it and answer the questions on the sheet. Remember, answer in full sentences and use your VIPERS skills that we practice in class (vocabulary, inference, prediction, explain, retrieval and summary). Keep this in your pack when complete.
If you have completed these could you listen to https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/
Draw a picture of your favourite part.
Yesterday I hope we had a go at your second piece of writing, The Coming Storm. Today I would like you to edit this. Could you use better adjectives? Add punctuation? Use a metaphor or simile?
After this I would like you to look at the next writing opportunity. Mechanical Eye.
First, draw a picture of Sir Ironsoul (the clockwork knight from our book Clockwork). Spend ten minutes on this.
Next have a go at the writing task. What happens when he opens his eye after he hears the word......
Describe how his eye opens, the noise, what do the cogs do?
What does he see? What happens next?
Can you write an alternative ending?
Next to your Maths. Since it is Friday I would like you to have a go at the colouring multiplication sheet. Find the answer to the multiplication and check what colour you need to use.
Remember if your sheet is long multiplication (two number times two numbers) don't forget the 0!
Could you create a short dance to part of the song you listened to this morning? Keep active!
Next, It would have been PE...... so lets do some!
Well done in advance!
Next, could you have a go at your clockwork heart from your pack. Use the tracing paper included. This doesn't have to be completed today so take your time, make it your best work!
Have a lovely day and enjoy your weekend.
Remember to listen to adults and the guidelines.
If you need any help, email me on Purple Mash.
I will be back on Monday with more tasks. Take care everyone!
