CLASS 5/6C HOME LEARNING 20.04.2020

Morning everyone! Hope you are all well and enjoyed some time relaxing. All the teachers made you a little video whilst we were off, have a look of the website and Holy Trinity facebook page for it. Ask an adult if you can't find it.

Did any of you try any of the mini projects from the website? If you did maybe you could email a picture of your work for the website.

Hope you are all ready to get back to our home learning.

Today's tasks 🙂

Reading

Firstly complete 20 minutes of independent reading.

Hopefully over the Easter break you have been keeping up with your reading. Could you write me a brief summary of a book you have been reading. If it was a non fiction book tell me about it, what interesting facts did you find?

English

A writing task today, write me a recount of the last 2 weeks. What were the best bits? Did you go for a nice walk?

Play a game? Did you make something? Help decorate. Anything.

I want to know all about your Easter break. Take your time and take care with spelling.

Handwriting

In your book could you write this tongue twister in your neatest handwriting.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

Maths

For your Maths today I would like you to finish any Maths work from your packs. Both little booklets had some Maths work in them. Lets get it all done today.

If you have been working hard and already finished this could you complete your 2do's 'Snake Sequence.'

Can you work out the next number in the sequence and guide the snake to get to that number to make it longer.

This is really fun so don't give up on it.

There are also some times tables 2 do's I left up that you can refresh on to see if you can beat your score.

Afternoon

This year Easter has been very different, for everyone, especially Christians. Could you draw a picture that shows how people have still celebrated Easter this year without going to Church. Which traditions have we been able to uphold?

Your picture could have lots of different images in it such as prayer and Easter eggs. Think of other ways people still managed to celebrate Easter in different ways.

Also, don't forget to Exercise!

Have a go at today's Joe Wicks workout on youtube!

Do laps of your garden/ yard.

Go for a walk with an adult.

Lets get back into our home learning everyone. I for one have missed it!

I am on Purple Mash email if you need anything at all. It would be nice to hear from you!
