CLASS 4/5J HOME LEARNING 13.05.2020
Good Morning Everybody.
First of all thank you to everyone who has sent some work to me. A special well done to Mia, her maths work was lovely.
Now I hope a few more of you have got your packs. Lets start with the maths that says Wednesday on the top. Related Facts.
It looks like this.
Draw lines to the answer for the calculation,
eg 3+2=5 then match it to the related fact. If 3 ones and 2 ones equals 5 ones then 3tens and 2 tens must make 5tens so the first related fact is 3+2=5 goes with 30+20=50.
If you have time and you don't mind cutting up yesterdays work you could do the loop cards which were for Tuesday. Look back in your pack.
Next lets do some reading. What do you think of your new books? Did I choose well? Read these for 15/20 minutes without stopping. Then write down the title, the date and the pages that you read in your exercise book. Complete Task G from your reading tasks booklet. Make up 3 questions you could ask someone about this book to test whether they have read it carefully. If you want to read again later today then I have put the next chapter of the golden apple tree on purple mash with some questions for you.
We have nearly finished it. I know that Ellis is enjoying it.😊
Have a break and then I have a short writing task for you. Look at Professor Plum again. Then find the Grammar/Punctuation challenge on the back of the sheet in your pack. It looks like this
We need to do some science this afternoon. I hope some of you managed to plant a seed or start a nature diary when you were using your last packs. Keep going with that. Connor is our star home gardener at the moment! We need to move our learning on though so have a look at this lesson on light from the oak national academy
The link is on the new challenge grid I have sent. Colour it in when you have done it.
What is light and where does it come from? | Primary | Foundation
In this lesson we are going to be learning about light. We are going to learn about what light is, where it comes from and how shadows are formed. We are going to complete an investigation into how light behaves with transparent, translucent and opaque objects. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for this lesson. If you would like to take part in the practical investigation you will ...
I am in school on Thursday this week and will be able to change books if you send me a message or ring school I will put new ones in the box for you. Please bring back any that you have finished with and leave them in the box with our class name on it. We don't want to come back to a school with no books!
Have a lovely day, stay safe and stay in touch.
Mrs Jenkins 😊
