Happy Friday 4S! I hope you’ve all had a lovely week and are ready for one last day of hard work before a rest this weekend. Have you got anything planned for the weekend?

Send me a 2email and let me know something fun you’ve been up to this week, or how you have got on with your learning.

First, let’s get active with Joe Wicks:

Now find a comfortable spot for 20 minutes of reading, or you could listen to today’s short story at and then answer three questions from your reading tasks, please answer these in your books. There are also reading tasks on purple mash you can have a go at, including a quiz to answer questions about

what you have read.

Please complete page 5 list C spellings by using the look/say/cover/write/check method in your exercise book. Did you get them right? In your neatest handwriting, practise 2 lines

of each word. Don’t forget to keep practising any that you are still finding tricky.

For Maths, please complete The Year 4 Arithmetic Test 1. This should take you no longer than 25 mins and the 5 mins to check your answers. When you are done, with an adult go

through your test and mark it with a calculator. If you got any questions wrong, please go back and have another go at them with an adult to see if you can get them right this time.

In English today, in your week 1 learning booklet turn to the last page: EXPANDING SENTENCES USING PREPOSITIONS. Use this video to help you complete each task:

Finally, complete the maths scavenger hunt from your envelope, this should be pretty simple for you! So now you’ve had a practise, make your own with 10 challenges for

someone to have a go at using objects around your house. Can you complete it with a parent or brother or sister?

Well done guys, have a great weekend!
