ST George's Day Celebrations at Holy Trinity

'Tales of Dragons, Knights and Kings and Queens'

Children in Year 3 and 4 took part in performing a play about the legend behind the saint in front of their grandparents.

Year 5 pupils took part in traditional English dance followed by our choir and infants singing the national anthem and waving our English flags with pride.

The children loved taking part in the day learning about the truth and tale of St George.

The pupils learnt about British values which is a high priority on our school's agenda.

We also invited grandparents to come and watch as we thought it would be nice for them to come as parents usually attend our events.

The Lancashire Evening Telegraph also came along to take photographs of our event to put in the newspaper.

Also we took part in decorating dragon eggs for  the Dragon Egg Exhibition for St George’s Day Celebrations on behalf of Darwen Town Council which where displayed in Darwen Market.

Our Infant Nativity
Congratulations to all our infant children who took part in our nativity play, ‘Hey you!’. They did so well - learning all those lines and songs. They certainly sung their hearts out! Thank you everyone for coming. Both performances were extremely well attended and I know that the children appreciated it.
