ABOUT HOLY TRINITY C of E SCHOOL

Our school motto, "Learn Together, Shine Together" is inspired by the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount: "Let your light shine" (Matthew 5:16). It reflects our commitment to providing an excellent education while giving every child the opportunity to shine. We celebrate each pupil as an individual, recognising their unique gifts and talents, which we nurture, develop, and value within a caring and supportive community.

In partnership with St Peter's Church, Darwen, we provide a safe and nurturing environment based on our core Christian values, developed by our children: Respect, Effort and Kindness.

We are committed to meeting the needs of all our pupils through a broad, vibrant and rich curriculum that provides opportunities for every child to excel and flourish in different ways. We foster the curiosity, creativity, perseverance and resilience that children need to become confident, independent learners who ask questions, seek answers and develop a lifelong love of learning

We are committed to academic excellence, raising aspirations and equipping children with the confidence and skills to follow in the footsteps of Jesus demonstrating God’s love for the world through active citizenship.

ST PETER'S CHURCH, DARWEN

The Christian nature of St Peter’s is a central and valued part of school life. Worship encourages reflection on faith, personal endeavour, and the achievements of others, helping children to develop spiritually, morally and socially. We believe strongly that worship is an integral part of every child’s education.

Clergy lead worship in school on a fortnightly basis and support the school by organising special events throughout the year. At least once each term, children lead services at church, which are open to the whole school community.
