ABOUT HOLY TRINITY C of E SCHOOL

Our school moto, ‘Learn Together, Shine Together’, which was chosen by our children, is based upon the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:16), ‘Let your Light Shine’ and it sums up our core values of providing an excellent education and giving our children the opportunity to SHINE, celebrating each one as an individual, with their own special gifts and talents, which we nurture, develop and celebrate.

In partnership with St Peters Church, Darwen. We provide a safe and nurturing environment based on the core Christian values, developed by our children: friendship; courage; compassion; trust and thankfulness.

We are committed to meeting the needs of all our pupils through a broad, vibrant, rich curriculum which provides opportunities for all to excel in different ways. We foster the curiosity, creativity, innovation, perseverance and resilience that children need to be independent learners who ask questions and seek answers.

We are committed to academic excellence, raising aspirations and equipping children with the confidence and skills to follow in the footsteps of Jesus demonstrating God’s love for the world through active citizenship.

ST PETERS CHURCH, DARWEN

The Christian nature of St. Peter's is an important aspect of school life.

Worship in school is closely linked to the worship calendar of the Church so that all Christian festivals are studied and celebrated.

Worship also reflects on other aspects of human faith, personal endeavour and other votable achievements.

The school feels very strongly that worship is an integral part of a child's education.

Clergy lead worship in school every Tuesday and organise special events throughout the year. At least once a term children lead services at church, which are open to the whole school and church communities.
